    The one thing I would suggest, maybe talk to the guys. Each one separately, at a time when there is no PMS.

    It may be awkward, but it could be a great chance to open the door for communication and would help the boys with empathy skills. Enlist their help. I am sure when they know how difficult things can be for women, they’ll stop the noises and other habits that may be a bit annoying at times, as soon as you mention PMS.

    Their future girlfriends/wives will be eternally grateful!

    Exactly! I even have the 13 year-old autistic son, and every month I scold myself for not having control of it (sneaks up on all of us?)

    I thought I was the only one with the noise thing! And actually I never explicitly connected it with PMS but you are right! And I get annoyed with my neurotically husband. I can only imagine the overlap with a son with autism.

    Have you read The Red Tent? I think we should bring the practice back. And have lots of chocolate there.
