Jack is a handsome young man, and in many ways – wise beyond his years.

Came over from Cate’s site and glad I did. I truly enjoyed this post, because of your writing style and the compassion you have for your son. Like your son, my son wonders why he is different than others. He doesn’t voice it, as he doesn’t talk much, but I can see it in his eyes. It breaks my heart.

Autism is a tug-a-war for the heart. As much as I would love for my son to marry, to have a career and to live on his own one day, I am also so thankful for who he is, for all that makes him different. He is a gift, an amazing gift. I love him for exactly who he is, not for who others think he should be. Thank you for your undeniable compassion.
