    Carrie,
I have to admit something to you. I am a giveaway hog. I enter as many “mom blog” giveaways as I can, because I love winning stuff…and therefore, I subscribe to newsletters, rss feeds, twitter feeds, and facebook feeds that I will NEVER read.
Now, I’ll admit something else to you…I am absolutely enchanted by the way you write. I don’t even know why I started actually reading posts on your blog, but I did…your letter to Jack, and this…are AWESOME. I just wanted you to know that. I READ your blog. I OPEN your emails…and I COMMENT on your posts, with real, true feeling, as opposed to getting a comment out there for a giveaway entry. You are a great writer…please keep doing it. It brightens my boring days. Thank you.

Wonder what your mother in law did since her kids are spread out in ages? I look at my own Joey and ask where did that little boy go that I used to lay on the blanket on the floor and he wouldn’t move around. Now I have to track him down as he drives everywhere. I feel your pain Carrie. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful, touching, heartfelt. Thank you for saying it all just right. I love this entire piece, most especially the paragraph “If we all believe in Santa, then my kids are still little.” Our family has two high school boys and our 2nd grade daughter, I’ve always felt that big age gap keeps them all in the innocence of childhood. Blessings to you all.

Your 10 year old could be my 10 year old. Right down to the sushi. Let’s keep them young for as long as we can. Merry Christmas.
