How lovely! You couldn’t have a more beautiful message than that for Mothers Day. Makes it all worthwhile. Jack, that’s a very special message you sent your mom.

You have such a gift of putting into words what so many of us feel. Such good descriptions that fit perfectly. Sometimes it’s hard to hope, but it is important to keep trying. I love Jack’s sensitive heart & the letter he wrote you. A very special Mother’s Day message. Thank you for sharing your journey.

I can definetly relate to your story Carrie. It’s heart wrenchingly honest and personal, yet so many of us mom’s have been there too.
My Andrew is different, but in a good way. He gave me a poem for Mother’s Day. It was short, lame and spoke of my loud sneezes, but very original and sweet and innocent in its own way. That’s what my 25 year old son felt like giving me. His older brother can’t understand why he wouldn’t help contribute $15.00 to my gift. I can’t explain it either. He’s just different.
And thank God for computers cause writing is painstakingly difficult and time consuming. Yet Andrew is a talented singer, pianist, Taekwondo instructor and soon tobe a college graduate. We are thrilled beyond belief around here.
Never lose hope. Take it one day at a time. Your Jack will do amazing things one day and us other bloggers will stand by your side and be there for you every step of the way.
Best of all, Andrew’s best friend from preschool graduated from college last weekend and we were there together to see it. It was beautiful. Jack will make friends too. You watch…

    Carrie,

I also have an almost 13 yr old son who is different. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings. It helps me to put words to my own thoughts and feelings, which are usually just all scrunched up in a big ball of worry!
