That card has to be THE sweetest, most sincere one Jack’ teacher received upon her mother’s passing. Every week your post is so candid and explains how difficult it is to live with one of these little people with autism.
It’s disappointing to hear how cost prohibitive these “special” schools are.

Thanks for sharing with us weekly.

I find myself looking forward to breaks in my Monday afternoons, just so I can read your blogs. I have a 6th grade daughter who reminds me so much of your inspiring Jack. Thank you so much for your pen and your heart.

To say i actively look fwd to your posts on Monday mornings is a ridiculous understatement. I sometimes feel as though you read my mind and overhear conversations I have with my husband! Your words speak to me in a way that gives me comfort, makes me happy, sad, relieved and anxious all at once. For that, i thank you.
And, i thank Jack and my son, P for teaching me to look at the world in a different and beautiful way.

ps: please start a parent support group–your advice and guidance is better than any doctor out there.

I love the card. My Nash has been sending cards to people..and I had no idea about it. And then I ran out of cards that I had made that I keep in the card box. Apparently he has been sending birthday cards to people when it is not their birthday. But, he found my “special cards”, the funny ones I found a while back that say something like “greetings from crazyville”. He has dropped them off at a few houses in our neighborhood. Thank you every week for your blog. It always makes me feel…not alone in the wonderful world of autism.

thank you for sharing your stories and the magic in your family. I nearly always shed tears when I read and I always totally get where you are coming from and have had similar thoughts or conversations. My other Son also calls it ‘the autism’… X
