Beautiful, as always, Carrie. That Cowardly Lion comment reminds me of the recent New York Times article on understanding autistic children using Disney films as a means of communication. Have you read it?

Jack did a fantastic job as frog in the RBS play! He had a lot to memorize and did it all beautifully.

Thank you. That was enlightening. None of my sons has autism but it was interesting to learn a little about Jack.

Crying at your blog, because your Jack is my Gabriel… and of course, also totally different! But both are beautiful and unique and difficult and so heartbreaking nad wonderful! I will be following your blog closely. Feel free to follow me at http://www.cocoandco2013.com – It’s a little about autism, but also about music and acting and my boys and life in general. Lovely writing, thank you. x

Carrie, I think I comment yesterday that that was the first time I had read your Essays for an hour. Today found two hours worth. You are a wonderful writer. I have four children on the spectrum. I see alot of one alot in Jack, you are right, they are all different. Friends are such a hard one for them…textures, foods, appropriateness. I can see where Jack is a load to deal with, but you do it with such grace, but I love how Rosie keeps an eye on him and helps. I am a dog over and can relate to Wolfie. I so related to who your God is and not open for discussion, me too. Diet, vaccinations, etc. I wouldn’t mind sharing info, but people get offended if you have a different opinion than you and shame you for felling different than them.
I am trying to get ahold of your books, then I can put Ipad down. Thank you, thank you, for sharing,
    Lynda
