With my 35 year old son with autism it is Lean Cuisine meals. He eats one every day for lunch when he is at work. He does not eat sandwiches. He will allow me to buy Stouffers or Marie Callendars, finally. He likes to find the best deals in the frozen food section. And each meal MUST HAVE MASHED POTATOES! No noodles. No rice. Mashed potatoes. Yes, Ben still lives with me – but at least he does have a ‘real’ job .

Trying to make peace with what the future holds is tricky, isn’t it. Admitting that it isn’t all “smelling tulips” right now, though, is a huge step towards that peace, my friend. I’m admitting the same right next to you. Shoulder to shoulder. Thank you for giving me the courage to.
